What you'll do

• Greet patients and visitors
• provide basic patient care under RN/LPN direction
• assist with registration and clerical processes
• maintain infant and child security
• prepare birth certificates and paternity affidavits
• report required newborn screening data to the state
• perform newborn hearing screens and record results
• obtain and record vital signs and notify the RN of abnormal results
• assist with newborn screens and specimen delivery
• maintain equipment and supplies.
