The Daycare Toddler Teacher role is onsite in Avon, CT, with a stated pay range of $20–$23 per hour for Certified Teacher candidates. The location operates year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Building Blocks is part of Babilou Family US’s early childhood education network. The teacher creates a safe, nurturing learning environment, plans developmentally appropriate lessons, supervises children, and supports their development. The role also builds family partnerships, models sustainable classroom practices, and coaches assistant teachers.

What you'll do

• Design and implement daily lesson plans aligned with developmentally appropriate practice and sustainable education
• lead classroom routines and organization
• model instructional practices
• supervise children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor exploration
• observe and document development
• communicate with families
• participate in conferences and family events
• maintain certifications and training
• collaborate with colleagues
• coach and support Assistant Teachers.
