Engineering Manager — Electric Vehicle Powertrain Development

The Engineering Manager role is onsite in Porterville, California. Pay is $115,000–$130,000 per year. Zero Nox develops projects converting fossil-fuel vehicles to electric vehicles and designing electric powertrains. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the manager leads development and production projects from prototype through production scale-up. The role coordinates engineering teams, schedules, budgets, and resources to deliver vehicle conversion and powertrain projects that meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

• Lead electric-vehicle conversion projects
• oversee electric powertrain design and transition from prototype to production scale
• manage prototype builds and ensure schematics, embedded systems, batteries, motors, and drawings meet standards
• mentor technicians and engineers
• collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and embedded software teams
• manage timelines, budgets, and resources
• ensure safety and quality compliance
• conduct performance reviews
• track EV technology developments
• deliver 3D CAD, electrical schematics, manufacturing plans, and vehicle architectural drawings.
