The Senior Underwriter, Middle Market role is onsite in Addison, TX, with a base salary range of $110,000–$150,000 per year and annual bonus eligibility. The underwriter develops and manages a profitable multiline portfolio by evaluating risks, setting pricing and terms, and building broker and customer relationships. The role also collaborates across functions to support informed decisions and the continued growth of Berkshire United.

What you'll do

• Underwrite, manage, and grow a multiline admitted property and casualty portfolio
• evaluate risk selection, exposures, pricing, terms, and account structure for new and renewal business
• build broker and customer relationships
• partner with Claims, Finance, Risk Engineering, Actuarial, Marketing, and Technical Underwriting
• provide insights on distribution strategy, processes, underwriting approach, and risk appetite.
