Security Operations Center Manager, Customs and Border Protection

Job overview

The Security Operations Center Manager role is hybrid in Reston, VA, with three to five onsite days. Compensation is $155,000–$185,000 per year. Agile Defense supports national security and critical civilian missions through technology and specialized teams. The manager leads the SOC’s people, processes, and performance, ensuring alerts are triaged effectively and specialist functions coordinate as one operation. The role also communicates operational performance and risk to leadership and improves standards, playbooks, and team capability over time.

What you'll do

• Manage SOC people, processes, and performance
• oversee alert triage, prioritization, escalation standards, and false-positive tuning
• coordinate insider threat monitoring, threat hunting, incident response, digital forensics, and vulnerability assessment
• maintain coverage across shifts
• report SOC performance and program exposure to leadership
• apply incident lessons to operations
• develop analysts and maintain standards and playbooks.
