What you'll do

• Perform post-anesthesia assessments and monitor PACU patients
• administer medications and manage pain per orders and protocols
• document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR
• monitor vital signs and respond to adverse events
• follow regulatory, hospital, sterile-technique, and infection-control requirements
• collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff
• support patient flow and turnover goals
• educate patients and families
• participate in quality assurance and process improvement
• manage PACU supplies and equipment. PALS and ACLS are required. Call includes one 24-hour Saturday or Sunday call per month, two weeknight calls per month from 1900–0700, and holiday rotation per unit policy.
