Employment Specialist

The Employment Specialist role is part-time and onsite in the South Bend, IN area. Pay is $20–$22 per hour. Prairie Quest Consulting supports individuals with employment barriers in coordination with Vocational Rehabilitation. The specialist helps clients obtain and maintain meaningful employment by assessing their strengths and goals, coaching job-search skills, and matching them with employers. The role also builds employer and community partnerships and documents client progress.

What you'll do

• Meet with clients to understand employment goals
• assess education, experience, skills, and strengths
• coach job-search techniques, interview preparation, and resume development
• provide one-on-one training and skills assessments
• facilitate onsite job instruction
• coach communication, self-advocacy, accommodation requests, and interpersonal skills
• document client progress
• build relationships with employers and human-service agencies
• develop business partnerships and job opportunities.
