Case Manager

The Case Manager role is onsite in Basile, LA, with compensation of $19.62 per hour. The position supports GEO’s correctional and community reentry services at a secured facility. The Case Manager helps inmates or detainees adjust to facility life and access needed services through orientation, counseling, case monitoring, and referrals. The role supports individualized facility programs and timely review of assignments and cases.

What you'll do

• Interview newly admitted inmates or detainees and conduct facility orientation on rules, services, programs, and classification processes.
• Provide informal individual counseling, refer serious concerns to professional counseling staff, assist with access to services, represent individuals at classification committee meetings, monitor assignments and case reviews, conduct special-housing visits, and review medical status for volunteer job eligibility.
