Rapid Responder Clinician, Mobile Crisis Care

The Rapid Responder Clinician role is onsite in Jacksonville, FL, with a starting salary of $55,000–$58,000 per year. Child Guidance Center provides children’s mental health care across Northeast Florida and operates Jacksonville’s first mobile crisis team. The clinician responds to mental health crises in the community, assesses and stabilizes clients, and develops action plans with clients and families. The role connects clients with follow-up care and coordinates with families, schools, law enforcement, foster care, and crisis stabilization units.

What you'll do

• Respond in person to crisis calls within 60 minutes
• assess and stabilize clients
• distinguish mental health crises from behavioral emergencies
• provide de-escalation
• initiate involuntary examination under Florida Baker Act criteria when appropriate
• develop client action plans
• coordinate with families and community partners
• arrange follow-up care
• train community stakeholders on crisis prevention and procedures.
