CDL A Driver - Entry Level

The CDL A Driver - Entry Level role is an onsite position located in Gallatin, TN. Compensation is $25.00 per hour, and this role supports the food distribution operations at PFG Customized. This role exists as an entry-level training position for individuals to gain experience in driving tractor trailers. The Driver Trainee contributes to the team by learning to deliver and unload food products safely while adhering to company policies and DOT regulations.

What you'll do

• Attends and successfully completes PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program
• Rides-with and assists driver trainer in executing deliveries
• Performs all required safety checks (i.e. pre/post trip)
• Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines
• Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
• Performs count check of items and check customer invoices
• Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
• Unloads products from the trailer
• Performs damage control checks on items
• Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
• Collects money where required
• Loads customer returns on to trailer
• Completes daily record of hours of service
• Performs general housekeeping duties.
