What you'll do

• Manage resources and coordinate patient care from admission through post-discharge
• oversee interdisciplinary plan-of-care decisions
• analyze length of stay, costs, outliers, and discharge-planning issues
• assign caseloads
• collaborate with departments, medical staff, and hospital leadership
• precept and train new staff or students
• oversee department staff and operations in the DCM's absence
• maintain knowledge of performance improvement programs, CMS requirements, Medicare coverage criteria, and Joint Commission standards.
