The Meat Cutter — Part-Time role is onsite in DeLand, FL. Pay is $18.00–$24.00 per hour. The role supports the store’s meat department and its standards for customer service, merchandising, and profitability. The cutter prepares and presents meat products according to store procedures, maintaining product quality, food safety, and attractive displays while assisting customers and supporting department operations.

What you'll do

• Cut and package authorized beef, pork, and poultry using knives and power equipment
• wrap, weigh, price, and label meat
• update displays and case signs
• rotate dated and undated products
• prepare attractive display cases
• receive, inspect, and store deliveries while maintaining the cold chain
• follow food safety, sanitation, inventory, and store procedures. May assist with product ordering and other store duties.

Why this role

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of the Save-A-Lot Meat Cutter Training Program within three months are specified. Prior meat-cutting experience is preferred. May be assigned to work in more than one store.
