Job overview
The High Impact Math Tutor role is onsite in Santa Fe, NM, primarily during the regular school day, for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Compensation is $30.00 per hour. The tutor supports New Mexico School for the Arts students through targeted mathematics intervention. The tutor identifies and addresses student skill gaps through individual and small-group instruction, coordinating with mathematics teachers and using student data to monitor progress. This work helps students strengthen foundational skills and succeed in grade-level mathematics coursework.
What you'll do
- Provide at least 20 hours per week of individual and small-group mathematics tutoring
- deliver intervention in foundational mathematics, pre-algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Precalculus as needed
- coordinate with mathematics teachers
- use IXL, assessment results, course performance, and other student data to identify gaps and monitor progress
- maintain schedules and participation and progress records
- adjust instruction to student needs
- communicate progress and concerns
- complete program documentation, training, and grant reporting
- maintain student confidentiality.

Why this role
