What you'll do

• Perform blood draws and other specimen collection
• label, centrifuge, split, freeze, store, and package specimens according to test orders and procedures
• match requisitions to specimen tubes and verify information
• explain venipuncture and collection processes courteously
• record maintenance data and decontaminate equipment
• comply with OSHA and DEP regulations
• answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
