Field Service Technician | Pumps and Rotating Equipment

Job overview

The Field Service Technician role is onsite, based in Rochester, NY, with in-shop and field service supporting industrial and municipal customers throughout upstate New York. Pay is $30–$42 per hour. Siewert Equipment, a division of Cummins-Wagner, sells and services pumps, heat exchangers, boilers, water heaters, cooling towers, and air compressors. The technician repairs, maintains, and troubleshoots pumps and other rotating equipment, and commissions equipment and trains customers. Accurate documentation, safe work, and customer relationships support reliable service delivery.

What you'll do

• Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot pumps, blowers, motors, and controls
• commission equipment and provide training
• document assigned work
• maintain an organized shop, work area, and service vehicle
• follow safety policies
• build customer, coworker, and supplier relationships
• participate in the after-hours on-call rotation
• and travel throughout upstate New York, including some overnight travel.
