Sample Management Technician

Job overview

The Sample Management Technician role is onsite in San Diego, CA. Compensation is $19–$26 per hour. BioAgilytix provides bioanalytical services that support new medicine breakthroughs and the development of therapeutics for patients. The technician manages samples and associated records so they are traceable, correctly staged, stored, and ready for analysis on schedule. Accurate accessioning, chain-of-custody, discrepancy resolution, and compliant documentation support client studies and laboratory operations.

What you'll do

• Accession samples into LIMS
• import electronic sample data into eSMS
• notify appropriate client or study personnel of sample receipt as needed
• maintain chain-of-custody
• verify sample demographic data
• investigate and correct sample anomalies
• stage samples for testing
• check samples in and out
• manage sample storage and storage-unit operability
• ship or disposition samples as directed
• maintain GxP-compliant records
• assist with metrics and process improvements.
