Behavioral Health Coordinator

Job overview

The Behavioral Health Coordinator role is onsite in Vero Beach, FL, with compensation of $15–$16 per hour. Treasure Coast Community Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving Indian River County through healthcare services. The coordinator supports mental health care by connecting patients with clinically indicated services and coordinating care with primary care and behavioral health providers. The role also helps patients engage in follow-up care and keeps scheduling, records, and administrative processes organized so providers can focus on treatment.

What you'll do

• Coordinate referrals to mental health, substance abuse, social, and outreach services
• coordinate care with primary care and mental health providers
• schedule patients with psychiatrists, LCSWs, LMHCs, and group therapy
• follow up with clients about symptoms or treatment concerns and relay information to providers
• prepare patients for visits and update electronic health records
• coordinate provider meetings and schedules
• assist with correspondence, phone intakes, referrals, and administrative tasks
• track treatment plans
• explain practitioner instructions to patients
• cross-cover Clinical Care Coordinator duties as instructed
• answer phones, document encounters, and collect co-pays.
