Onboarding Accountant

The Onboarding Accountant role is hybrid in Islandia, NY. The annual salary range is $75,000–$85,000. The role prepares new clients’ books for ongoing accounting service by reviewing records, identifying cleanup needs, coordinating work with the offshore accounting team, and confirming accuracy before handoff to the operations accounting team.

What you'll do

• Lead onboarding calls and gather client information
• review QuickBooks and prior accounting records
• assess balance sheet accounts, reconciliations, and prior-period activity
• identify cleanup needs and missing information
• coordinate assignments with the offshore accounting team
• review completed work
• follow up with clients
• document procedures and support a smooth handoff.
