The Parks Operator — Arborist role is onsite in American Fork, Utah, and is full-time. Compensation is $24.55–$31.92 per hour. Highland City’s Parks Department maintains the community’s urban forest and parks, with this role reporting to the Parks Superintendent. The arborist prunes, trims, and removes hazardous trees; diagnoses tree diseases and applies integrated pest management; selects and plants suitable species; maintains the city’s digital tree inventory; and educates residents. The role supports public-space safety and the health of the city’s tree canopy, while guiding seasonal maintenance workers.

What you'll do

• Prune, trim, and remove hazardous trees using rigging, ropes, and bucket trucks
• diagnose tree diseases and apply integrated pest management
• educate residents and lead volunteer planting projects
• select and site climate-resilient species
• maintain the digital tree inventory and mapping systems
• guide seasonal maintenance workers.
