CNC Router Technician — Sign Fabrication

Job overview

The CNC Router Technician role is onsite in Indianapolis, IN. Compensation is $20–$35 per hour. The technician works in Signworks’ manufacturing and fabrication shop, coordinating with fabrication, paint, and assembly teams. The role produces accurate routed sign components and keeps work moving through downstream production. It combines machine operation and file preparation with quality checks, routine equipment care, safe material handling, and coordination to meet production schedules.

What you'll do

• Operate CNC routers and related cutting equipment
• load and secure acrylic, aluminum, PVC, wood, and composite materials
• interpret shop drawings, production files, and cut sheets
• adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling
• prepare design files and validate toolpaths, nesting, and material yield
• perform basic on-machine programming and setup adjustments
• inspect finished parts and troubleshoot defects
• coordinate with fabrication, paint, and assembly
• handle materials
• perform routine maintenance and follow safety procedures.
