The Structural Engineer – Ground System Deployments role is onsite at Zipline’s headquarters in South San Francisco, CA, with intermittent domestic and international travel to project sites. Starting cash compensation is $145,000–$225,000 per year. The role supports deployment of Zipline’s autonomous drone delivery ground systems.

What you'll do

• Perform structural analysis and design for charging towers, dropboxes, and related structures
• develop code-compliant, constructible, cost-effective, and scalable designs
• produce and review calculations, drawings, and design documentation
• support permitting and regulatory approvals
• interface with authorities, customers, and external partners
• collaborate with mechanical, electrical, real estate, and construction teams
• advise on constructability, installation, codes, and certification
• maintain standard designs
• assess project risks
• and travel to project sites as needed.
