Electrical Design Engineer III

Job overview

The Electrical Design Engineer III role is onsite in Louisville, KY, with a combination of office and job-site settings; general office hours are Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–4 p.m. or 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with hours varying at job sites. Compensation is not specified. The engineer reports to the Design Engineering Manager and supports engineering projects and customer solutions. The role develops and verifies electrical designs, coordinates project work, and supports field engineers, project managers, purchasing, panel fabricators, and customers. Its purpose is to deliver accurate designs that meet engineering standards, customer requirements, and project needs.

What you'll do

• Coordinate engineering project design and completion
• analyze schematics, specifications, and drawings
• produce and verify electrical device and panel layouts, motor, control, and I/O schematics, and bills of materials
• review designs for compliance
• evaluate design changes and drawing releases
• support project teams and customers
• use computer-aided design and drafting tools
• and communicate task status.
