The Senior Post-Silicon Validation Engineer role is onsite in Seattle, WA, with a base salary range of $170,000–$250,000 per year plus equity. K2 Space is building high-power satellite platforms for missions from low Earth orbit to deep space. This hands-on engineer owns silicon bring-up, characterization, and system-level validation of complex mixed-signal systems-on-chip, establishing validation strategy and lab capability from first silicon through product readiness. The work coordinates hardware, firmware, design, and systems teams to identify and resolve issues and enable product integration.

What you'll do

• Own post-silicon validation strategy, test planning, execution, coverage, and sign-off
• lead first-silicon bring-up
• plan and execute functional, performance, stress, and corner-case system tests
• build lab equipment, infrastructure, test setups, and automated characterization and regression environments
• characterize RF and mixed-signal components with design partners
• validate DSP and calibration algorithms
• automate instrumentation control, data collection, analysis, regression, and reporting
• drive silicon issues through root cause and resolution.

Why this role

Requires 5+ years of relevant experience and hands-on mixed-signal SoC/ASIC bring-up. Strong Python/scripting skills and experience with lab instrumentation, embedded C/C++, JTAG, SPI, and UART are sought. The role requires U.S.-person status or eligibility for a federal export-control license.
