General Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The General Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Juneau, AK, paying $22–$24 per hour. The schedule is typically during business hours, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or evening shifts and additional hours during severe weather, maintenance projects, or events. REACH maintains facilities supporting its organizational services. The technician helps keep facilities safe, functional, and clean through routine inspections, minor repairs, and custodial work. The role identifies maintenance needs, completes repairs, and reports issues to the Facilities Manager so REACH locations remain ready for staff and community activities.

What you'll do

• Inspect facilities and address minor issues
• replace light fixtures and ballasts
• perform basic plumbing, drywall, painting, and door repairs
• troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues
• coordinate larger repairs with vendors
• assist with snow removal and grounds maintenance
• maintain furnishings and storage
• move equipment for events
• document repairs
• perform custodial cleaning.
