The Field Technician (Forklift Mechanic) role is onsite in Longview, TX. Compensation is $31–$35 per hour. Lonestar Forklift provides equipment sales, rentals, service, parts, fleet management, and training for material-handling customers. The technician diagnoses, repairs, maintains, and inspects customer equipment and machinery. The role supports reliable and safe customer operations by coordinating service work and parts, communicating repair requirements, documenting work, and following safety policies.

What you'll do

• Diagnose and repair material-handling equipment and machinery
• complete routine maintenance and safety inspections
• communicate with the Service Dispatcher about service jobs and task completion
• discuss job scope and repair requirements with customers
• coordinate parts with the Parts department and prepare parts for site visits
• complete work-order and warranty documentation
• report safety incidents and follow safety policies.

Why this role

Requires 3–5 years of heavy-equipment or automotive repair experience, a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and travel to customer sites in the region. Trade certification, hydraulics, electric-engine service, aerial-platform, and lift-truck experience are assets.
