What you'll do

• Schedule procedures around physician availability, operating-room capacity, staffing, and equipment
• assist patients through scheduling
• coordinate insurance authorizations
• obtain and track orders, clearances, testing, and records
• communicate arrival times and approved preoperative instructions
• maintain schedules and records in electronic systems
• notify relevant teams of changes
• follow up on pending requirements
• manage cancellations and rescheduling
• coordinate with billing when applicable
• protect confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
