This role supports the wellness team at MorningStar Senior Living. This role exists to administer, pour, pass, and document all routinely prescribed medications per physician orders. The Med Tech is responsible for observing the five rights for safe medication administration, reporting side effects, and assisting residents with daily living tasks to ensure their physical and mental well-being.

What you'll do

• Administer and document regularly prescribed medications
• Order meds from the pharmacy
• Document in the resident’s medical record those medications given
• Observe and report to the licensed nurse reactions and side effects
• Take and record vital signs
• Administer PRN medications
• Report any medication error to the Wellness Director immediately
• Assist with development and review of the resident’s care plan
• Ensure residents privacy, respect and dignity
• Detect, correct, and report unsafe conditions.
