The janitor maintains the building and grounds so shared spaces and units are clean, safe, and ready for residents. The role supports property operations by handling routine cleaning and light maintenance, documenting work, and responding to building and client concerns.

What you'll do

  • Perform routine janitorial and light maintenance in common areas and grounds
  • remove garbage and weed
  • replace locks and light bulbs
  • perform minor carpentry and painting
  • respond to cleaning or light maintenance emergencies
  • inspect the building for graffiti, damage, lighting issues, and safety hazards
  • maintain supplies
  • prepare units for new intake
  • complete work orders and document non-routine work
  • respond to shelter clients’ concerns and report maintenance needs.
