The Job Coach / Employment Specialist — Part-Time, Daytime role is community-based in Staunton, VA, serving Staunton and surrounding Augusta County communities. Pay is $21–$22 per hour, based on experience. RISE Services supports individuals with disabilities in pursuing meaningful employment and greater independence. The specialist helps participants prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment through individualized coaching, job-search and career-preparation support, employer engagement, and service coordination. The role contributes to participants’ employment goals by building workplace skills and supporting job retention while encouraging independence.

What you'll do

• Provide individualized job coaching at employer worksites and in community settings
• teach job duties, workplace routines, safety procedures, communication, time management, and problem-solving
• assist with resumes, applications, job searches, and interview preparation
• identify employment opportunities and coordinate interviews, hiring, and onboarding support
• develop relationships with employers and communicate with participants, families, and community partners
• complete progress notes and required service documentation
• track employment activities and communicate progress or concerns to supervisors. Occasional weekend availability may be requested for coverage, but weekends are not regularly scheduled.
