Broadband Technician — Commercial Fiber

What you'll do

• Perform fiber splicing and terminate fiber connectors
• work with headend engineers and outside-plant project managers on splicing
• read fiber documentation and identify fibers
• install fiber enclosures and termination panels
• install CWDM/DWDM filters
• use fiber scopes, OTDRs, and optical power meters
• install and dress fiber cables
• report field splicing activity
• maintain fiber inventory and equipment.
