Case Manager — Social Model Detoxification

The Case Manager — Social Model Detoxification role is onsite in Salt Lake City, UT, and pays $20 per hour. The position supports Volunteers of America, Utah’s detoxification services at Recovery on Redwood, serving clients at the Center for Women and Children and Men’s Detoxification Center. The organization provides community-supported paths for vulnerable people to improve their lives and self-reliance. The case manager provides individualized, trauma-informed support to clients during detoxification, connecting them with resources and recovery services while documenting care and responding to crises. The role contributes to client safety, recovery engagement, and continuity of support through coordination with families, community partners, and clinical staff.

What you'll do

• Provide and document case management services
• conduct client service interviews within the stated timeframe
• identify special needs and coordinate services
• provide resource lists and recovery-treatment information
• enter timely case notes in UWITS
• provide weekly orientation
• respond to medical emergencies and use CPR, First Aid, and Narcan as needed
• use de-escalation and suicide-prevention tools
• coordinate with mental health services
• participate in case reviews and shift changes
• maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
• participate in the management on-call schedule.
