Produce Assistant

The assistant helps keep produce fresh, stocked, and properly handled while supporting customer service, inventory, ordering, and department standards. The role contributes to department performance through effective purchasing, shrink reduction, and customer support.

What you'll do

• Provide customer service
• maintain an inviting, stocked produce department
• assist with ordering and inventory
• support margin and department profitability by minimizing shrink and effective purchasing
• cull, crisp, rotate, handle, and store produce
• ensure certified organic produce is ordered and received
• receive orders
• follow up on special orders
• assist with training and monitoring personnel
• conduct product demonstrations
• support register functions and customer questions
• maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
