Peer Support Specialist — Merced CARE

The Peer Support Specialist role is onsite in Merced, CA, supporting the Merced CARE program. Compensation is $21.00–$22.29 per hour. Using lived experience and training, the specialist helps participants pursue their stated goals, resolve crises, and maintain wellness in the community. The role also supports advocacy and connections to local county and state resources as needed.

What you'll do

• Support and teach recovery principles and tools
• model personal responsibility, self-advocacy, and hope
• partner with participants to identify strengths and develop recovery plans
• support wellness activities and provide immediate program-consistent support
• maintain guest and health-related records
• support health and safety practices
• attend team meetings and monthly co-reflection
• complete required paperwork.
