The Registered Nurse (RN) — Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center role is onsite in Fort Meade, MD. Pay is $44–$48 per hour. The RN works at Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center, a military outpatient healthcare facility serving patients of various ages. The RN provides direct outpatient nursing care for routine, acute, and urgent needs, supporting clinic operations through assessment, treatment, emergency response, patient education, and accurate documentation. The role coordinates care with physicians, nurse practitioners, LPNs, and other healthcare professionals while following DHA, Army, and medical treatment facility standards.

What you'll do

• Assess patients, obtain histories, monitor conditions, and develop nursing interventions
• administer ordered medications
• perform telephone and walk-in triage
• assist with examinations, testing, and procedures
• perform venipuncture, specimen collection, IV administration, catheterization, and EKGs
• respond to emergencies and operate resuscitation equipment
• coordinate ambulance transfers and referrals
• educate patients and families
• document care in electronic medical records
• participate in quality improvement, patient safety, infection prevention, and staff education.

Why this role

Requires an accredited nursing program, an active unrestricted U.S. RN license, and current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Education and experience combinations are BSN plus one year, ADN plus two years, or nursing diploma plus three years. U.S. citizenship and applicable occupational health, credentialing, background, and security requirements apply. Approximately 40 hours weekly; federal holidays are not required.
