The Accounting Manager - Bookkeeper role is onsite in Butler, KY, with an annual salary of $55,000–$60,000; additional spiffs and commissions may be available. Johnson Heating and Cooling provides heating, cooling, and electrical services to families in Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati area. The full-charge bookkeeper owns day-to-day accounting and maintains accurate, timely financial records. The role manages core accounting and payroll processes, prepares financial reporting, and partners with company leadership on budgeting and planning while also supporting office and customer service needs.

What you'll do

• Maintain organized and accurate company financial records
• manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger activity, and reconciliations
• process deposits and collections
• manage progressive billing for new construction
• prepare monthly financial statements and assist with month-end close
• develop monthly service P&L reports
• complete payroll tax and regulatory filings
• support budgeting and financial planning
• answer phones and provide customer service
• use QuickBooks and FieldEdge.

Why this role

Minimum five years of bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management experience; QuickBooks knowledge and advanced Excel skills required. HVAC, plumbing, construction, or related service industry experience and a relevant degree are preferred.
