The Lifeguard role is onsite in Joliet, IL, and is part-time, approximately 10–30 hours per week. Pay is $15 per hour plus differential of qualifications (DOQ). The lifeguard reports to the Head Guards and Aquatics Superintendent and supports safe, orderly aquatic facility operations. The role monitors patrons and pool conditions, enforces facility rules, and responds to emergencies with appropriate rescue, first aid, CPR, and other emergency care. It also supports check-in, patron education, facility inspections, cleaning, maintenance, and required records and training.

What you'll do

• Maintain alert surveillance and respond to emergencies
• enforce pool policies and rules
• activate the Emergency Action Plan and provide appropriate rescue, first aid, CPR, and emergency care
• check patrons in and answer questions
• clean and maintain aquatic areas
• inspect facilities, equipment, and pool water
• monitor operations and prevent potential issues
• complete records and attend required meetings and training.
