The Skilled Machinist — 2nd Shift role is fully onsite in Lake Zurich, IL. Starting pay is $27.00–$40.00 per hour, with a Monday–Thursday schedule from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Wieland manufactures, processes, and distributes copper and copper-alloy products for industries including aerospace, automotive, construction, and electronics. The machinist sets up and operates numerically controlled machines for complex work requiring close tolerances, while supporting production quality and throughput. The role also troubleshoots process issues, trains operators, inspects parts, and records production and job data.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC machines for complex machining operations
• adjust and check programming
• troubleshoot issues
• train operators on machine setup, operation, and measurement
• inspect parts using gages and metrology equipment
• handle product and enter production and job data accurately.

Why this role

Requires 5–8 years of experience and prior job-shop manufacturing experience; high school diploma or GED required. Certified First Piece Inspector responsibilities are included.
