The Medical Assistant — Graduate Certification Path role is an onsite, part-time position in Fall River, MA, with an hourly wage range of $19–$21 and a $1,000 signing bonus. SSTAR’s mission is to support community healing through healthcare and addiction treatment. The role supports patient visits by preparing patients, recording vital signs, assisting physicians, handling clinical documentation and scheduling, and maintaining exam rooms and equipment. The assistant also completes medication and vaccine reconciliation and depression screening, with certification required within 90 days if not already certified.

What you'll do

• Support patient flow and preparation
• record height, weight, vital signs, medication review, and chief complaint
• assist physicians with exams
• triage calls
• schedule appointments in the electronic medical record
• update clinical care guidelines
• complete paperwork and daily reports
• stock exam rooms
• dispose of biohazard waste
• use an autoclave
• complete medication and vaccine reconciliation and depression screening. Travel between three Fall River health centers as needed and work one evening shift weekly and/or provide vacation or callout coverage.
