Community Engagement Facilitator

Job overview

The Community Engagement Facilitator role is onsite in North Platte, NE, part-time and temporary from October through May, with meetings primarily after school and in the evenings and occasional weekends. Compensation is $50 per meeting, including travel, preparation, and meeting time. The role supports Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska troops and helps girls build courage, confidence, and character. The facilitator leads troop meetings and age-appropriate activities, working with families and volunteers to create a safe, inclusive experience. The role helps girls develop leadership, friendships, skills, and confidence while supporting troop participation in programs and community activities.

What you'll do

• Lead Girl Scout troop meetings and activities 1–4 times per month based on council needs
• plan age-appropriate activities
• foster a safe, inclusive environment
• guide leadership development, goal setting, and decision-making
• communicate with families
• support program, cookie program, event, and community-service participation
• follow safety policies
• maintain attendance and program records.
