Assembly Line Technician

Job overview

The Assembly Line Technician works onsite in Painesville, OH, assembling production sailboats. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour. The role supports the final assembly team and contributes to the craftsmanship and quality of finished sailboats. The technician installs and tests mechanical, electrical, plumbing, interior, and deck components, checks work against specifications, and reports defects. Cross-training and backup support for other assembly areas help the production team meet its needs.

What you'll do

• Install mechanical components, electrical systems, plumbing systems, interior components, deck hardware, hatches, and related fittings on sailboats
• perform functional testing and quality checks
• complete production checklists and report defects or installation concerns to the Production Manager
• maintain a clean, organized, safe work area
• assist with launching, commissioning, and sea-trial preparation as needed
• cross-train in other assembly areas.

Why this role

Requires at least two years of marine production assembly, boatbuilding, or related multi-trade experience and hands-on experience in at least two listed trade areas. ABYC certification is preferred.
