The Senior Director, Discovery & Translational Development role is based onsite at the company’s Charlestown, MA headquarters, with a stated base compensation range of $260,000–$305,000 per year. Solid Biosciences develops genetic medicines for rare neuromuscular and cardiac diseases, with a mission to improve the daily lives of affected patients. The senior leader guides discovery and translational programs from early concepts toward IND-enabling readiness, leads scientific teams, and aligns program strategy, clinical assay oversight, and cross-functional execution across the growing portfolio.

What you'll do

• Lead multiple discovery and translational programs
• define therapeutic hypotheses, translational strategies, development plans, milestones, and decision criteria
• manage and develop scientific leads
• oversee clinical assay and biomarker strategy
• integrate preclinical, clinical, and translational data
• identify and mitigate risks
• partner with clinical, regulatory, CMC, portfolio, finance, and external teams
• contribute to regulatory strategy and documentation.
