The CNC Machinist II — Bearings role is onsite in Orem, UT, on a Grave A schedule: Sunday through Tuesday, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM. Compensation is not specified. US Synthetic manufactures bearings and supports production teams through machining and process improvement. The machinist supports production flow and quality by assisting with equipment setup and operation, resolving manufacturing issues, and helping improve systems and processes. The role also contributes to training, new product work, and accurate measurement of parts.

What you'll do

• Respond to Andon issues and help resolve manufacturing problems
• assist with new product introduction and production
• participate in product development and Kaizen teams
• record and analyze machinist group KPI data
• train and assist with CNC lathe and mill setup and operation, EDM, and grinding
• inspect and measure parts for conformance
• cross-train on equipment and processes
• program and operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine
• follow Lean Manufacturing and ISO procedures.
