Director of Finance

Job overview

The Director of Finance role is hybrid in Houston, TX, with two days in the office and three days working from home. The salary range is $95,000–$110,000 per year. EMERGE supports high-achieving students from low-income communities in accessing and succeeding at selective colleges and universities.

What you'll do

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting support, and compliance
• oversee monthly close, audit and Form 990 preparation, 1099 filing, payroll reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and restricted-fund tracking
• support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• prepare reports for leaders, the Finance Committee, and Board
• supervise accounting support and coordinate with external partners.
