Security Review Expert — SOC 2

The Security Review Expert — SOC 2 opportunity is fully remote. Compensation is $90–$110 per hour. Mercor connects creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. The expert reviews simulated vendor security materials, identifies gaps and risk, and creates structured rubrics and reference responses. This work applies experienced security-review judgment to improve AI model performance.

What you'll do

• Review simulated vendor SOC 2 reports, security questionnaires, and penetration-test evidence against a buyer’s security standard
• identify scope mismatches and lapsed bridge letters
• author step-level rubrics and reference responses
• assess data-handling and sub-processor risk
• work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance.

Why this role

Requires at least eight years of professional experience in security review, vendor risk management, or third-party risk management, plus hands-on SOC 2 and compliance evidence evaluation. CISSP or CISA and prior rubric-authoring or AI-training data experience are preferred.
