What you'll do

• Operate fire apparatus at emergency scenes
• perform fire suppression, hazardous materials response, and rescue operations
• assume command when necessary
• maintain stations and emergency equipment
• test hydrants and inspect rescue tools
• participate in fire prevention and safety education
• perform fire inspections
• and assist with installing fire detectors for elderly and disabled residents.
