The Water/Wastewater Utility Technician role is onsite in Groveland, FL. Compensation is $17–$22 per hour. The technician operates and maintains utility infrastructure, including pump stations, lift stations, valves, piping, and meters. The work helps maintain water and wastewater service for the community. The schedule is Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; standby and on-call duty, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, are required as scheduled.

What you'll do

• Maintain and inspect lift stations and related equipment
• service the vacuum station
• repair water, reclaimed-water, and force-main leaks
• install and replace meters
• read meters
• coordinate with utility billing and customer service
• flush hydrants, exercise valves, and pressure-test hydrants
• service backflows if licensed
• coordinate GIS locates
• operate equipment including backhoes, crane trucks, and vacuum trucks.
