What you'll do

• Cut scrap metal to prescribed sizes with a handheld torch
• inspect torch and hoses
• follow cutting procedures
• identify scrap metal types and select appropriate cutting methods
• check gas and oxygen filters
• inspect vessel sections before hot work to confirm tanks are drained and combustible materials removed
• follow scrap-yard PPE and safety requirements.
