Certified Medical Assistant – Primary Care

The role provides clinical and administrative support to help deliver an efficient, positive outpatient patient experience. It supports patient flow through rooming, clinical procedures, EHR documentation, communications, and coordination of follow-up care.

What you'll do

• Room patients
• obtain histories, vital signs, and screenings
• document in the EHR
• assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
• administer injections and approved non-IV medications
• perform EKGs, venipunctures, capillary sticks, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing
• prepare procedure trays and assist with dressings and suture removal
• respond to patient calls, portal messages, pharmacy requests, and refill requests
• complete prior authorizations
• schedule referrals, testing, and follow-ups
• monitor EHR inboxes and reconcile lab results
• obtain records and reports
• prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, maintain supplies, complete safety logs, and provide nearby-office coverage as needed.

Why this role

Requires current Medical Assistant certification and current American Heart Association or client BLS certification; CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited Medical Assisting program graduate; at least one year of recent experience or a completed medical-office externship.
