What you'll do

• Build and operate streaming and batch ingestion from Kafka and third-party APIs into Iceberg tables
• manage CDC, schema evolution, and late-arriving data. Operate the Iceberg lakehouse on Starburst Galaxy, including table layout, partitioning, compaction, retention, and cluster sizing. Build and maintain bronze, silver, and gold dbt layers, incremental models, idempotent merges, and safe backfills. Design dbt Cloud schedules, dependencies, retries, and alerting
• maintain freshness SLAs and investigate incidents. Implement data quality tests, contracts, monitoring, lineage, and access controls
• handle PII within privacy and security guardrails. Tune queries and infrastructure, manage resources through Terraform and CI, collaborate with analytics, product, and business teams, and document code, models, and runbooks.
