Cloud Engineer, Secure Government Infrastructure

The Cloud Engineer role is onsite at Patrick Space Force Base in Florida, in the Cape Canaveral/Space Coast area. Compensation is not specified. The JAAW Group seeks an engineer to support secure, mission-critical cloud infrastructure in a classified Department of Defense environment. The engineer designs, deploys, administers, secures, and improves cloud and platform infrastructure. The role supports reliable government workloads through automation, DevSecOps, security controls, incident troubleshooting, and collaboration with infrastructure, cybersecurity, software, data, and AI/ML teams.

What you'll do

• Design, deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure
• support AWS and/or Azure services
• develop infrastructure as code
• support Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, GitOps, and DevSecOps
• automate tasks with scripting
• troubleshoot incidents and perform root-cause analysis
• maintain security controls, STIG checks, and vulnerability remediation
• document configurations and procedures
• participate in Agile delivery.
